• Advised a major nonprofit navigating tricky issues with university partners in the current political environment
• Managed a federal subpoena for a university and one of their high-profile professors
• Filed an amicus brief on behalf of Law Enforcement Action Partnership in support of a writ of certiorari on a qualified immunity issue that deserves the Supreme Court’s attention
• Represented a major nonprofit in its ongoing defense in a Section 1981 lawsuit 
• Advised on litigation options for a high-profile leader on the receiving end of dangerous threats resulting from today’s political environment and those fanning the flames
• Published client alerts on the Shifting Landscape for Race Conscious Programs Under Section 1981 and how New FAR Rules Have Turned DEI Into Significant False Claims Act Exposure
• Hosted a Webinar On How Organizations Should Be Navigating The Shifts For Race Conscious Programs

Up next, Edward will be delivering a keynote at Our Collective Power, a major conference hosted by School Board Partners of elected school board members who are focused on equity work, to help them think through how the legal landscape for their work has shifted in the last few years. We believe that local school boards are getting squeezed in today’s cultural-turned-litigation wars and we’re eager to partner with them.
